Thank you...I will edit that though I have seen it online as Elan. I searched for where I found that and it is the great mother goddess of a popular fantiasy fiction series. 😉😅

Elen is a very ancient Welsh goddess, and she's sometimes seen as a sort of ..colleague of Cernunnos, although they come from different backgrounds

Yes, I knew that I just spelled the name wrong and if she relates to him it is because he is horned in some depictions but she wasn't actually, she was riding the horned creature. From what I've read, she kind of a prequel to the horse goddess. But when it comes to the Welsh prechristian no info left behind, we don't really know the names of the Welsh Goddesses. Just Maginogion names (the Dream of Macsen Wledig--A Roman Emperor and his Welsh bride). There was a long history before any Romans got to Wales. It's just that, as far as the Druids go, you won't have written or spoken material to source that. Where it lives is in the blood and bones of the lineage. We can source that. Cernunnos though shows up in ancient paintings and jewery. And these cultures were reliant on both agriculture and hunts for the deer (reindeer). showing the human with horns reminds me of the way the native americans do their dance...they don't put on horns, but regalia from parts of animals. Maybe the ancient celts wore the horns in ceremony.

Yes...Antlers and they like to show here with antlers as the art at the beginning of the post implies but nothing...and I mean zip, nada, zilch, was left to be distored by the ones who claimed the Midwinter for their own ceremony...Gwilym Morus-Baird was the first to point this out to me. And that's why I feel the Goddess stories are not products of pre-christian thoughts or behaviors. That's why I did the retelling for Ceridwen's image. I was downloaded as you know with information that is in the trilogy. They knew it would all be distorted but they would stay a mystery and people would evenutally search for the truth. I have to turn my attention to another post now, but thank you again for the spelling advice and I hope things are going well there...the little infant I heard of via Facebook must be walking now???
