Recognizing the False Special Event
Moments in the Flow: I Hate to Burst Your Bubble--But
Hello again,
As an Astrologer for over 50 years, it’s fair to say I have a relationship with the Sky. Having some knowledge of the Ancestral Celtic and Native American philosophies and practices, I’m aware of the Natural Laws of life. Things like the Sun rises in the East and other ideas that have been removed and replaced by ideas that form our current belief systems.
It’s that part that bothers me most because when we are led to believe things that don’t relate to Natural Law, we lose something of our own personal power of observation and discrimination.
It was bad enough when they distorted the timing of seasons, causing us to find signs of winter odd when they come before what was once called ‘Midwinter’ or the middle of winter. The emphasis on the zero degrees of the Cardinal Signs at a Solstice or Equinox are markers for the shift of light hours in the Solar Cycle, not the shift of the seasons. And your body knows that.
For a while, I kept quiet about this and things like the Lion’s Gate. A magical energy portal every year on August 8th. But now, on Social Media, I’ve become a bit of a vigilante – instead of a Ghost Buster, I’m a Special Bubble Buster.
And that’s because I’m seeing so many supposedly special things happening that aren’t accurate. Looking at the response to these claims it seems that our culture is now addicted to ‘special’. Posts on false events are widely viewed, giving the authors a higher number of likes, clicks, comments, all resulting in a positive boost to their algorithm. It’s unlikely that they will stop supplying the ‘high.’
I was very grateful to see another Astrologer with a larger reach than mine telling the truth about the Lion’s Gate phenomenon. So, I thought I’d tell you. But please ‘don’t shoot the messenger.’
The First Lion’s Gate Focus
There was a reason to take note of the 8th of August in 1998 which coincided with a penumbral Lunar Eclipse at 15 degrees of Leo which is the Gate. It had a large viewing area, from North America to Europe and Africa. However, with a penumbral (partial shadow) there was little effect seen on the face of the Moon itself, so the viewing was not remarkable.
The chart for the time holds Jupiter in Pisces conjunct the prophetic Centaur, Okyrhoe. That alone was opening a visionary doorway. This formed a trine to Mars and Venus, conjunct in a goddess sign, Cancer. And the Moon in Aquarius was conjunct Uranus, ruler of Aquarius, enhancing the power of surprising change and intuition, while the Sun in Leo joined Centaur Chariklo, holding space for transformation.
There was added to the power in the numerology of the date itself: 1=9=9=8=8=8 shows power (8) for endings (9) and a new beginning (1) and adds up to the spiritual energy of 7.
My friends and I took a daytime pilgrimage to the best energy spot in Florida: The Bok Tower Gardens. However, the lunar event took place but the effect on the Moon was hardly visible. Still, it may be that the 1998 Lion’s Gate was responsible for the upsurge of those seeking the return of the Divine Feminine that would follow.

Harmonic Convergence
People coming down from the power of the first Global Peace Meditation on the Harmonic Convergence, were ready for something more. That earlier event was provoked by an alignment of 7 planets (a New Moon at zero degrees Virgo conjunct Mars, Venus and Mercury forming a grand trine with Neptune in Capricorn and Jupiter almost on zero Taurus), on August 24, 1987. This connected to Mayan culture and the Mayan Calendar prophecy (the Mayan Factor by Jose Arguelles). We were 25 years from 2012, the beginning of timeless time.
Something did shift then, because it was after this event that Astrology began to be widely accepted by the public. After 14 years of being thought odd and laughed at, when people found out I was an astrologer, now they wanted a reading from me. The fact that First Lady Nancy Reagan used an Astrologer became known at that time, too.
August 8, 2025
But we don’t have the same alignments every year on August 8th. We do have the Lion’s Gate which is 15 Leo. All Fixed signs (including Taurus, Scorpio and Aquarius) have the 15-degree Gate which is the portal to the new Season. The Leo Gate takes us into Autumn (in the Northern Hemisphere) and the Harvest of the Grains.
We do have a Full Moon in Aquarius this year, but it occurs at 3:55 am EDT on the 9th at 17 degrees of Aquarius and is not an Eclipse…that comes next month, in Pisces. (You can hear my forecast for this event in the podcast with The Weekly Astrology Forecast August 4 to 10.)
The numbers today do add up to 7, but that energy can be confusing. 8/8 in any year is 16=7. With a number 8 year in 2024, it became a 6 day and with a 1 year coming in 2026, it will be an 8.

Other False Events
Another post that disturbed me today contained a simple impossibility (these are becoming quite common, too) of there being two nights to see the Full Moon setting. The Full Moon occurs at the moment the Moon reaches the exact degree of opposition to the Sun. This will take place at 3:55 a.m. in EDT which is 12:55 a.m. in Pacific Time and 8:55 a.m.in the UK.
For you to see the Full Moon setting twice, the Moon and Sun would have to stop moving at 3:55 am EDT and stay there for two nights ahead. That would not be a good thing…not at all.
Many have noticed that the Moon regularly appears Full (because the light is strong) a few days before and after the Full Moon. But those are Waxing Gibbous as the Moon approaches the Sun and Waning Gibbous phase as it leaves.
Two days ago, a post claimed an ‘amazing line up of planets that are visible to the naked eye’ was coming soon. The line up itself had a big mistake, putting Uranus in Gemini between Saturn and Neptune that are now conjunct in Aries. And please let me know if your naked eyes can see Uranus and Neptune, much less Saturn. For most people, a telescope would be necessary.
You can trust me and other reputable astrologers to tell you when something special is happening in the Sky. In the meantime, I enjoy the fact that as this world goes through intense changes, the one thing we can still depend upon is the movement of planets in our Solar System, including our own.
See you next time!
