In the old days they said, “The Moon Tells the Tale.” It is told in the aspects the Moon makes as it moves quickly through each sign. In daily forecasts, the Moon’s sign and phase colors the mood of the day and what activities are supported.

This Week’s Moon Cycles
The week begins with the 4th quarter Lunar Phase. Now we begin to look at our life and projects and will start to release those things that no longer serve a purpose and think of what needs to be changed or transformed. We see the Waning Crescent Moon.

Saturday, May 16th, when the Taurus Moon joins the Sun in 26 Taurus, we have the New Moon phase. At this time, we set our intentions for what we want to see manifest in the coming cycle. Taurus supports the issues of finance, real estate, food, nature, gardens, possessions, self-worth and values.
Sunday, May 10th we enter the 1st quarter Lunar Phase. Now we begin to think about our intentions and where we might plant the seeds so they will grow and bear fruit. The Waning Crescent Moon phase begins, but the Moon is unseen until it is seen shortly after sunset next week.

The Pisces Moon begins the week. Pisces Moon brings the instinct to empathize, take on the nature and values of others, daydream, seek solitude. Pitfalls: Losing boundaries, escapist behaviors, negative emotions, fantasy, deception.
Monday Pisces Moon gives us a gentle day that ends with good a good conversation about practical matters. (EDT).
Tuesday Pisces Moon is having such good dreams that it takes the unwelcome call of communication to wake up and get into the day. Still, it’s a day of floating free in the Void of Course Phase until Moon enters Aries.
Aries Entry Tuesday at 8:04 p.m. EDT. Aries Moon brings the instinct for freedom, being first, leadership, initiating activity, swift movements. Pitfalls: Quick flashes of anger, leaving others behind, selfishness, impatience, acting before considering consequences.
Tuesday Aries Moon has some reminders of future goals that could be revisited but runs into obstacles due to regulations and approved methods. The tendency is to ease the frustration with overdoing. There can be annoyance if approached with others needs.
Wednesday Aries Moon is confronted by sentimentality and an overabundance of needs until a charming meeting with someone who just wants to have fun arrives. And argument may flare if things aren’t happening fast enough or someone else wants to take the lead. Moon is Void of Course phase until it enters Taurus.
Taurus Entry: Thursday at 10:31 p.m. EDT. Taurus Moon brings the instinctive need for acquisition, preservation, sensory experience, strength and grounding. Pitfalls: stubborn, possessive, tight-fisted with money, resistance to change.
Thursday Taurus Moon is heading for a challenge that appears in the early morning on Friday.
Friday Taurus Moon has the early morning challenge about control over finances and plans for the future. This may not be resolved but Taurus Moon moves on to spend an easy day that becomes increasingly optimistic about real estate, home and family matters. This is the day before the New Moon so energy is lower in general and it suits Taurus Moon to relax, have a nice meal and smell the roses.
Saturday Taurus Moon has a good breakfast and hears about a conflict over individuality but doesn’t engage this as it is on its way to join the Taurus Sun, and authority that shares the same values, and a new cycle will begin at the Taurus New Moon at 4:01 p.m. EDT. After this, a meeting with a like-minded, practical person later in the evening will set reasonable goals for the future. Moon is void of Course until it enters Gemini.
Gemini Entry: Saturday, 10:23 p.m. EDT. Gemini Moon brings the instinctive need for communication, questioning, information gathering, flexibility, and movement. Pitfalls: worry, overthinking, distraction, flighty behavior, boredom.
Saturday Gemini Moon moves toward exciting news that will arrive just after midnight EDT.
Sunday Gemini Moon has its first conjunction to Uranus in Gemini as the day beings. PLANETARY AND LUNAR EVENTS ✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨
26 TAURUS NEW MOON
At the time the New Moon in Taurus arrives at 4:01 p.m. EDT on Saturday May 16th, all the planets are still occupying one half of the zodiac…from Jupiter in Cancer to Pholus in Capricorn. Most of the activity is found in Aries. Vesta, Neptune, Pallas/Athena and Saturn fill the first decanate, the most Aries-like, and we may wonder about what is most important to us and how we might go about protecting and creating structures to sustain this. The square from Pholus in Capricorn will reveal things that affect this situation.
The next cluster begins with the Eris, and the Chiron Mars in the last decanate which has the touch of Sagittarius that could expand or exacerbate an unwise action after being goaded and thwarted in freedom of expression. Okyrhoe at 2 Taurus is delivering messages to Mars to calm down and not act out.
A major moment includes the square from Chariklo in 26 Aquarius to the exact conjunction of Ceres to the 26 Taurus Sun and Moon with Uranus and Sedna conjunction in orb at 1 Gemini. Food and sustenance in all material ways is a focus of this New Moon and may be the focus of our Intentions. But things are not stable and there’s more support for making some changes than there is for holding onto the status quo.
Pluto is now retrograde in Aquarius and still with Juno going back over the issues that have concerned marriage and the rights of women. The sextile of Venus, nearing the end of her transit in Gemini, to the Chiron Mars conjunction is helping us choose words that are mild and not provocative. She is also in trine to Chariklo in Aquarius and will be encouraging transformation that helps the group move forward in an agreeable way.
And finally, In the chart set for Washington, DC, Jupiter in Cancer has strength as the rising planet. It is not in exact aspect to the Aries or Taurus group, but sill has the power to expand sensitivity and feelings about a need for security. In the outer world that could fuel actions taken that aren’t wise. It may also indicate the potential for help from the government and public figures, but it has not arrived and it may take a while for that to change.

MERCURY ENTERS GEMINI

The breeze clears the energy within the house and brings spring aromas and nature sounds that reawaken our mind. We’ve been slogging along and confounded by what we’re seeing. It’s time to entertain and engage the mind again.
And this year, the Moon is in Gemini on this day, along with Venus, and Mercury’s first stop is the conjunction with Uranus. It’s an exciting way to begin the transit. New ideas spark curiosity. It’s also a time when humor brightens conversations. Venus will supply pleasantries both given and received.
Mercury in Gemini is the student mind, seeking information and then examining details to classify where it belongs. It is the way we communicate with others and in Gemini we are ready to engage. There are many topics of interest to explore, and we might connect with siblings, extended family, and neighbors. Mercury in Gemini will want to plan outings and short journeys where new scenes await. A small town with lots of shops and a bookstore with coffee would add to the charm. Meetings are active and involve more than one point of view.
