This is so interesting Shellie. Do you think we move between these groups throughout our lives back and forth? Or once we reach a level it’s off to the next? The thought that intrigues me is could we be at different stages depending on the topic, so for example one could be spiritual when it comes to war but herd when it comes to politics?
Perhaps that’s not what the system is intended to show, but it really made me wonder as we are all so multi faceted
Thank you for your comment! I'm glad it's provoking questions here and in your mind. My first thought is that Jeff didn't focus it that way. He was looking at how to read the chart. He did a talk in Denver in 2000 about this and used his chart and read it at all the different levels.
Energy is there but how we use energy is what our life looks like. In my comments on Uranus in Gemini, not everyone born with that became a rebellious thinker in the 60's. Consciousness. As movement I mentioned the teenagers show took that moment to evolve a step. Not all do that. I am not really ringing with the idea that you can be in one level for certain things. But you can take a look at you, your friends and family and see if that happens. Wanting to be secure is not THE LEVEL never questioning or thinking outside the group beliefs is The Level. We all want to be secure and have a Root Chakra... One thing I'd suggest is how much you identify with the description. People in third state of the Individuated can involve themselves in spirituality...the identifying the life with that spirituality as living in an ashram is another step. I see myself as third stage individuated with having a lot of connection to spirituality but not following one teacher or living n a community. Does this help?
That’s helpful, thank you Shellie. I’ll revisit. I’m definitely not herd, never was in this lifetime. Though I may have been in a previous, that just feels true for one of the last three or four as a 3rd level herd type
So after saying I’m not a herd type I’ve really had a good look at me right now. The short answer is I’m not sure where I would fall on that scale. I identify with individuated level 3 in some ways because I don’t care what others think and have happily used astrology and alternative healing practices, but I also don’t advertise either, hence my use of a non de plume online. I go with the flow
I’m certain I’m not a spiritual level 2 or 3 however. There some parts of spiritual level 1 I identify with too.
Yet I do find present world events and the apparent trajectory unsettling. That desire to change things not accept them makes me frustrated so does that mean I really am a herd person.
I’ll stop my ramblings there, but it’s really made me think!
Well…we all follow some rules and behavior that is acceptable so I understand your questioning. However, you have also gone to the Level 3 Individuated and sound a lot like me. I was worried about using my name on the Revealing the Druid Legacy books because of potential pushback from those heavily invested in the Legends that were written long after the facts and those who seek to be Avalonian priestesses, venerating the Christianized Goddesses. So far I haven’t had any. In this day it could become problematic if we allow things to go farther in the division in my country (and yours?). And I agree some parts of Spiritual 1 but not in total commitment to a group or practice. I think where we are is the largest category of people I know and relate to.
Thank you Shellie, that’s really insightful. I had a real, very powerful experience in January and that seems to have accelerated things for me below the conscious level, so that might be why I feel all over the place as things are still processing. Thank you for sharing your wisdom on the name issue, you are absolutely right, as a British person, doubly so as a Welshman, there is enough of a division being stoked by all sorts of people that I can’t take the risk currently. I recognise who “my people” are now though and that is priceless
Thank you, Shellie for this. I had not known of Jeff Green's typology before and it is very right on I think.
A comment about the Uranus in Gemini generation and the Uranus in Cancer generation. Those who had Uranus in Gemini were the leaders of the Countercultural Revolution, not in the sense, only, of being well-known persons whom people tended to follow, but in the sense of being the vanguard of the movement. (Some of the leading figures of the Revolution, like Lennon and Dylan, were Uranus in Taurus generation, rebelling against the comfortable materialism that was sweeping post-war society.) Those of the Uranus in Gemini generation were the first wave of hippies and the first wave of radical politicos. They were very often motivated by the desire for intellectual freedom and, beyond that, freeing the mind from societal conditioning.
It was the Uranus in Cancer generation, however, who swelled the ranks of the Counterculture. They also rebelled against materialism and sought intellectual and spiritual freedom, but our deep motivation was rebellion against the sum total of the culture we were embedded in - rebellion against cultural heritage and, infamously, rebellion against our parents and all that their generation represented. We left home for life in urban and rural communes and crash pads in (relatively) massive numbers.
The herd still very much outnumbered us. And when it was all over, a great many of those who didn't go back to the land and re-integrated back into mainstream society slipped back into the herd. In a few, who had received and absorbed what I refer to as the Small Enlightenment (knowledge OF but not yet BEING of the great cosmic Truths), there was kindled the Vision and the desire for the soul's Origin, our True Home.
One comment about level one spirituality, also. If one has been so fortunate as to have been found by a level Three spiritual guide, the goal, and the promised reality, is that you WILL reach the same spiritual consciousness as your guru - certainly not instantly, but ultimately.
Dylan and Lennon (and I know Dylan had Neptune in Virgo...don't remember John's chart) were at the tail end of the Uranus in Taurus and but had their formative years during Uranus in Gemini. Paul and George were born with the Uranus in Gemini. I see this combination as a rebellion in terms of though and communication and that is the essence of all that comes. Revolutions are rebellions and they were in the original discovery of Uranus in Gemini. BUT not everyone in the culture responded to their Uranus in Gemini in the same way (or anything else) and that involved a level of consciousness.
Uranus in Cancer brought the increased breakdown of families. More divorce and broken homes. These rebellious ones seemed more interested in the communal living that flourished briefly but the ability to live together and without some of the comforts Pluto in Leo loves and the perfection Pluto in Virgo requires seemed to prevail and the communes didn't last except for a longer lasting one in Tennessee I think? Free love seemed to remain LOL.
This is a fascinating article, Shellie -- thank you!! "And we can expect another one when the babies born with Uranus in Gemini now come of age in the early 2040s." (Juliette :-))

We've all been there! Re lifetimes, and I was regressed to a couple which I think were the hardest ones. Blessings to you.
