Hello again!

I’m writing this post on the day Pluto goes direct in Capricorn*. Transformation and the sign of traditions combine. The topic is appropriate because Pluto is said to ‘rule’ (or resonate with) the sign of Scorpio. This often-misunderstood fixed-water sign holds the deep mysteries, including the transformation of birth and death. It also holds the mystery of what came before, and what comes after.

The Belief in Reincarnation

When a Druid Priestess from the late 5th to early 6th century AD began telling me the story of her birth (Book One, Revealing the Druid Legacy series), she said she was a returning Priestess of the Old Ways. Obviously this meant the Druids believed in reincarnation. As an astrologer who received past life regressions in the late 1970s and studied Evolutionary Astrology which holds the concept that Pluto reveals the Journey of the Soul, in 1999, I was okay with it. However, I knew it was possible not all readers would agree.

I had no prior knowledge of this Celtic Dark Age, the Druids, or when Christianity began to take hold in what is now the UK and Ireland. As with other things I was told, I felt I should investigate to see if I could validate Anwen’s words.  I looked for information about the belief in past lives, still active in cultures in the east.

What I found gave validity to the fact that Anwen’s birth in 479 AD began a lifetime when the Druids ‘disappeared’ into the population while a more aggressive conversion to the ‘new religion’ took place. But I also learned that the concept of reincarnation had been accepted by the early Christians until 543 AD.

It was removed by order of Emperor Justinian, who had jailed a pope for a year for his resistance to eliminating the belief. This major shift came about a decade after my Muse said she passed from her lifetime to join her companions in the Otherworld.

Ancestry and Past Lives Converge

My readers often say that I must have lived during Anwen’s lifetime because the portrayal of her world is so vivid. It is possible that I had a life in a Priestess Circle of Nine. My trips to Chalice Well, Avebury and parts of Wales held deep resonance.   

I believed my Muse when she said, ‘you will know my story is true because it is your own, a memory awakening in the crystals of your bones.’ This is where our Ancestral wisdom is held, and I believe this is a message meant for all readers.

Last spring I had an Ancestral reading. It revealed my lineage includes this Muse and another prominent person in the tale. This also made sense, due to my life path leading me to studies and practice of subjects that are now mainstream but were ‘occult’ when I encountered them. And it may be why I can ‘hear’ her so well.  

Choosing Lifetimes with Ancestors

When I studied at the Actual Design school of Lightwork (then called Actualism) in the late 1970s-early 1980s, they taught a concept called The Moment of Agreement. The idea is that before we incarnate, all the people who will play roles in our lifetime agree to play their part. And we agree to play our part in their lives.

We did a session to take us back to that event and I discovered that the only emotion there was love. No matter how the play worked out and what emotions were experienced, it was all a part of learning, and this was the basis of the agreement.

It is often the case that we would play a different role with the same people who formed our family in the past and in the new lifetime. The attraction can be based on a common need for a certain lesson.

Astrology and Lineage

As an Astrologer, I see the nature of the connections between people through their birth charts. This also shows connections in families. It is unlikely to find a child with no exact connections to planets in the parent’s birth chart. There can be more with one parent than the other, and there will be connections with the grandparents (some more than the others), too.   

I had a powerful experience of this when an acquaintance of mine told me about a book she had just published. It was about her DNA search to solve the mysteries of her birth and discover whether or not she was related to Mark Twain (Samuel Clemens).

Before she offered me The Twain Shall Meet to read, I asked her to give me her birth information and the dates for those who might be her immediate ancestors; mother to her great grandfather. I said if she was related, I would see it in the charts.  

In fact, there is a connection through all four charts with planets in the same degree of Scorpio, showing the issues of power, wealth, control and secrets. There was more than this, too, and it was interesting to read her book and learn how accurate this description was, and my interpretation of her birth mother and the difficult relationship she had with her own mother: another theme. Connections involving Pluto, Saturn and the nodes of the Moon suggested the involvement of past life karma.

Thinning of the Veil

As we move further into October, the veil between the worlds grows thin and we can more easily communicate with our Ancestors. It can be best to find a person who is qualified to facilitate this and keep you in a realm of Light.
